Wetland meadows of Jablonné in Podještědí
The site Mokřady Jablonné is located on the southwestern edge of the town of Jablonné in Podještědí, on the area of the former economic grounds of the Nový Falkenburk castle.
Since 2005, our organization has been revitalizing this location and trying to make it accessible to people while increasing its natural value. The entire site is of a wetland character - a valley floodplain. The site includes a mosaic of biotopes of water bodies, littorals, wetland meadows, wet meadows and ash-alder meadows.
We mow the meadows with an area of 1.7 hectares every year in a mosaic pattern, and with proper management we want to support not only a more varied flora but also the occurrence of invertebrates.
