VKP THERMOPHILIC MEADOW BELOW BRADLECKÁ LHOTA

Near Bradlecká Lhota, on the very edge of the Liberec region, there is a sloping meadow with thermophilic vegetation.

The location is valuable both from a botanical point of view (very abundant occurrence Gallic rose – Rosa gallica, xerothermic lawns), as well as from an entomological point of view. Endangered Gallic rose (Rosa gallica) occurs very abundantly over the entire area of the meadow (hundreds of bushes), such a large population is not known anywhere else in the Lomnice area.

Due to irregular maintenance, the meadow is overgrown with reed bush (Calamagrostis epigejos) and other unwanted herbs, woody plants and brambles.

Restoration of the meadow with an area of 0.6 ha was started in February 2022 by cutting selected invasive species.
