VKP Rybničky

Rybníčky near the town of Lomnice nad Popelkou are a registered significant landscape element. The site represents an important biocentre in an agricultural landscape. The existing biotope consists of a complex of water areas, valuable bog meadows, thistle meadows, wetland willows and wet alders. The whole biotope has many other functions - water retention in the landscape, influence on microclimate, support of landscape stability, etc.
The Siberian iris (Iris sibirica) grows on the site, the meadows are a rich source of marsh cinquefoil (Potentilla palustris), and the site also contains White Cuckoo Bitter-Cress (Cardamine dentata) and broad-leaved helleborine (Epipactis helleborine). Marsh violet (Viola palustris) and common cottongrass (Eriophorum angustifolium) were recorded on the heavily waterlogged area.
Our association takes care of approx. 2 ha of territory from 2022.
