Spring meadow of the Průrubský brook
Our association has been taking care of the spring area of the Průrubský brook, located under the road between the villages of Zásada and Plavy, since the spring of 2022. The site is connected to the Průrubí Nature Reserve, which includes communities of wet meadows with the western march orchid, a spring, coniferous and beech forest.
On a very waterlogged meadow with an area of 0.5 hectares, the spring snowflake (Leucojum vernum) blooms in early spring. The meadow has been degrading for years due to lack of care, overgrown with brambles, rose hips and shrubs. A small waste dump was created on the edge of the waterlogged meadow.
In the spring of 2022, we cleared the site and carried out restoration management. By starting mowing, we will prevent the loss of a valuable biotope and support its species diversity.
