Mountain meadows above the settlement of Dolní Pláně
These are mountain meadows on the southern slopes of the Ještěd Ridge on the edge of the settlement Dolní Pláně. The meadows belong to the endangered biotopes of foothill and mountain grasslands without juniper and the biotope of the mountain oatgrass meadow, the Nácek's meadow has spring snowdrops and many orchids used to bloom here.
The meadows between Dolní Pláně and Světlá pod Ještědem were once farmed, but due to their inaccessibility, farming on them was abandoned. In 2022, we started mowing the almost hectare site, and from 2023 we are expanding it by another 1.4 ha.
