Orchid meadow near Lužická Nisa spring
The orchid meadow is located between Nova Ves nad Nisou and Lučany nad Nisou.
On a heavily waterlogged meadow with a critically endangered biotope R2.2. – non-calcareous moss bog grows an endangered species of orchid plant broad-leaved marsh orchid (Dactylorhiza majalis subsp. majalis).
The meadow had not been mowed for a long time, it was overgrown with meadowsweet, thistle, cattail and overgrowths of birches, willows and aspens, which threaten the biotope and the broad-leaved march orchid.
In 2021, we started restoration management on the meadow with an area of 0.3 ha.
